Rachael is an old friend of mine, and I was absolutely delighted to be asked to photograph her marriage to Jack. A little bit of a history before I start telling you more about their day. Rachael and I worked in the French Alps together so it comes to no surprise that the weather gods tried recreating some wintery weather for her big day! Luckily, she was very prepared and had a number of umbrellas to hand.
The day started with all the bridesmaids getting ready at her family home. There was a lot of excitement and laughs as the morning progressed.
After a heartfelt ceremony in their local church all the guests gave the bride & groom a confetti send-off before making their way to Priston Mill. Jack & Rachael decided to make a little detour before joining their guests….. to their favourite local pub the Ring O Bells…. And with a roaring fire it was a very welcome warm interlude.
At Priston Mill the weather gods gave us a break in the rain and we were able to take lots of friends and family photos in the pretty gardens of the mill. The rest of the day flowed as quickly as the champagne, and after some hilarious speeches and some fine food, it was soon time for a sparkler procession following by fireworks. And just like that, they were married. Happy times ahead for Jack & Rachael.
As always, huge thanks to all the friends and family for their help and support during the day. xxx
