Weddings // Guy & Alice @ Chelsea Old Town Hall

I have been so excited to share these sneak previews from Guy & Alice's wedding. A lot of love and thought went into their wedding day which they held in Alice's family home. From the flowers, the lighting, the picnic hampers, and more, the carefully handmade details were in abundance.

Oliver and Hannah had guests from all over the world to help them celebrate their wedding day. The wedding ceremony was held at Bosham church on a glorious spring day followed by informal drinks on the waterside meadows. The amount of handmade details in the wedding was a pleasure to photograph – and the talented bride even made her wedding dress. I send them all the best wishes in the world for their new adventures and married life in Perth, Australia. I hope you enjoy looking through my galleries and photo blog of their special day xx

Andrew and Christina are married! They tied the knot in Chichester Cathedral, a stunning place which has witnessed much joy over the last 900 years. The wedding party was then invited to Oakwood Farm, nestled in the sussex countryside where they were treated to a fabulous paella and a teepee decked out with memories of their travels all over the world. It was an absolute pleasure being part of their big day and I thoroughly enjoyed being part of the fun and laughter. xx

Will and Laura's Engagement Photos - West Wittering, West Sussex

One of the photography services I offer is a pre-wedding or engagement photoshoot. It is a great way for the couple and the photographer to bond and to develop a style that works for all.

Laura and Will chose the beach for the location for their engagement photographs. The cool winter seascape made a great backdrop for the photos, allowing their personality and character to shine through in the images.

They are a really fun couple who were keen to be creative and work through lots of different poses. Although the water temperature was a mere 8 degrees, they whipped off their shoes and socks and took a brief paddle in the sea. And despite a light drizzle throughout the session the couple remained happy and relaxed.

I wish them all the best for their big day and am looking forward to photographing their wedding and seeing some familiar faces at their wedding.

Neal and Jess's Wedding Photos - West Wittering, West Sussex

Recently I was asked to photograph the family and bridesmaids before the ceremony. It a great time for photos as everyone is looking their best, fresh from the makeup artist and hairdresser, and usually with a glass of champagne in their hand. This is when they were at their most relaxed and not under the scrutiny of 100+ guests.

For a photographer, it is also a good time to capture the finer details of the day: the dress, jewelry, wedding cake, shoes, accessories and the fresh flowers. I absolutely loved the kitesurfing themed wedding cake - almost too good to eat!

You don’t have to book a photographer for the full day, I offer packages from a minimum of 3 hours upwards, with flexible options: CD of images, albums, online galleries, and personalized greetings cards.

Big thanks to Jess & Neal for booking me for their West Wittering wedding.

Wedding photography for a very good friend

Nestled in the surrey countryside is an idyllic village called Brockham, where Alexandra grew up with her three sisters. Her mother ensured their garden looked immaculate and there were many flower bed backdrops to chose from for the photography. The day was assembled through many helping hands of friends and family, and the attention to detail was amazing.

I am often asked by friends to photography their weddings, and it is a great pleasure to do so. I love the atmosphere before the wedding when everybody is hurrying around and trying to make themselves look beautiful and pristine. I have photographed so many weddings now that I know the format of the day like the back of my hand. Once the technicalities are underway, I can begin to creative with my photography and start capturing stunning photographs that the couple will hold onto forever.

This wedding was a particularly special one as Alexandra and I have been friends since age 10! We share a hoard of fun memories and I felt very honoured to be able to photograph her wedding in the exact way she hoped.

A wedding in Itchenor and photos at West Wittering Beach

I had been looking forward to photographing this wedding from the moment the couple booked me 18 months previous. The couple are young and vibrant and wanted their personality to show in their wedding photography.

The wedding itself was set in the idyllic village of Itchenor, and the reception followed in a beautifully kept garden with a marque and drinks tent.

After the ceremony the couple along with myself, and photography assistant slipped away to West Wittering beach to do a beach photoshoot where the couple would relax and have fun. This allowed me to work with the golden sunlight and create some fun yet natural images.

A perfect countryside wedding in Sussex

Deep in the countryside of Kirdford is Bartholomew Barn. It is a beautiful wedding venue and the barn has been full restored providing a versatile space and stunning light for photography.

In all the weddings I have photographed I think this was the most relaxed, yet well planned and smooth wedding day. I took with me some customised props for the bride and groom to use in the photos: these add that little extra special twist to the photos whilst keeping the photographs classic andtimeless.

The weather turned out to be absolutely glorious, and despite a short shower during the wedding breakfast, the blue sky continued to stay filled with picture-perfect white clouds. Cloudy weather is actually fantastic for wedding photography because they diffuse the harsh shadows from the sun and therefore create soft light for the photographs.

Here are a few of my favourite photographs from the day.

A destination wedding in South Africa

What a fantastic start to the year with an outstandingly fine April to get us in the swing for summer and more importantly the 2011 wedding season.

At the beginning of March I travelled to South Africa to photograph a wedding at the exquisite Beloftebos wedding venue.

The venue was the most beautiful place Ive captured a wedding at yet. The attention to details from the established oak trees to the fairy-light glittering trees, was second to none.

Farbridge Barn - a fantastic venue for weddings

Farbridge Barns rests at the foot of one of England's finest landscapes surrounded by the undulating beauty of the South Downs. The barn has stunning views across the countryside, including an immaculate courtyard and lawns. Eleanor looked absolutely stunning in her vintage style dress and her look was complimented perfectly by all the other vintage themed accessories. Although there was a slight october chill in the air, we made good use of the grounds and the entire wedding party were able to enjoy themselves outdoors all day.

Brands Hatch - a unique wedding venue

Having a wedding at Brands Hatch is arguably the most unique wedding venue in the south east. With panoramic views of the 1.3 mile Indy circuit, the backdrop will live long in the memory of you and your guests. There are over 300 acres of grounds, rolling lawns and coppiced woods all to be used for the photography backdrop. I had the pleasure of witnessing the Greek money dance for the first time, and thank Joe and Emma for choosing me to photograph their wedding.

A cornish wedding set in beautiful countryside

Set deep in the cornish country was Sam and Penelope's beautiful handcrafted wedding. Penelope is a very gifted lady and planned everything down to the last detail - hand sewn bunting, hand crafted favours, bespoke place cards, and many more details. The colours of the dresses and flowers matched the summer landscape perfectly, and I had a wonderful time photographing their wedding day.

A fun and relaxed Chichester wedding ceremony

Emile and Jenny both wanted to get married in jeans, and to then have a more formal wedding celebration a couple of days later with all their friends and family. Their wedding ceremony was for close friends and family in the Chichester registry office. After the relaxed ceremony with Jack Johnson as their sound track, we walked over to Priory Park to take a few group photos.

Wedding part deux for Ollie and Jess

To make their wedding celebrations, Ollie and Jess had a second party for all the guests who could not make it out to Finland. This historic school was a superb backdrop for the photography, and the great dining hall was the perfect venue for a rage buffet and disco that followed. Jess looked simply beautiful in her dress which was draped with small jewel and her bridesmaids all wore dresses that their talented mum has made. It was a wonderful day to photograph.

A winter wonderland wedding in the Ice Hotel

A winter wonderland wedding in the Ice hotel, Finland.
Visiting the Ice hotel in Finland is a truly unique experience, not only is there a hotel carved out of snow and ice, the surround ski area makes for a great honeymoon. The light was incredible and the brisk chill in the air meant the ceremony was only 20 minutes long. This winter wonderland set the backdrop to one of my favourite wedding photography experiences....

A Winchester Wedding

Steve and Marie were blessed with absolutely stunning weather for their wedding day. Winchester Guildhall is a magnificent Victorian building in the heart of the city which provides a great setting to make a unique, stylish venue. The bluebird skies and bright flowers made the photographs really come alive and the smiles on their faces truly speak a thousand words.

A mini for a wedding car - the perfect London wedding

A london wedding complete with a mini wedding car, red double decker bus set in Putney on the Thames. On a bright September's day Christoph and Vanessa, surround by friends and family from all over the world, had a marvellous wedding day. The bride looked beautiful and the setting was perfect for this stunning couple.
