How long have you been a photographer?

I am a full time professional photographer. I have been working in a photography and graphic design environment since 2003, and have been freelance since 2006. I absolutely love photographing weddings, portraits, and meeting/working with new people. (This is not a job I do 'on the side').

What is your style of photography?

I love photographing people and their reactions, so I guess that makes me a 'reportage' photographer. However I always capture those more formal moments throughout the day, plus help to arrange family/friends into groups.. I am very creative and my couples often remark on the huge variety of brilliant photos I send to them

How many photographs will you take during the day?

I love taking photos, so will happily take photos all day and all night. Usually for 8 hours of photography, you can expect to receive between 800+ photographs – this number really depends on the length of the day, the number of wedding guests, the wedding venue and the weather (!).

When will the photos be ready to view on your website?

I aim to get alls your photographs to you within 4-6 weeks of your wedding day. However a week or so after your wedding I will email you some sneak previews...

Are the photos copyrighted?

And will the copyright mark that shows on the online album appear on photos ordered?

The copyright of the photos remains with the photographer, but you are free to reproduce/print/email the images in any way you wish. The only thing you cannot do with the images is use them for re-sale.

How far do you travel?

Most of the weddings I photograph are on the south coast: West/EastSussex, Hampshire, Surrey, Dorset but I do have a mileage limit at which I will charge a little petrol and perhaps a travelodge if the journey is over 2 hours.. I travel all over the UK and am happy to cover destination weddings – I photographed an amazing wedding in the Ice Hotel, Finland, a beautiful wedding in South Africa, and recently a winter wonderland wedding in Chamonix up the Mer de Glace.

Do you have an assistant or a second photographer?

As an experienced wedding photographer, I am more than happy to work by myself. However I will use an assistant for larger weddings if needed - I used trained second-shooters who are extremely good photographers, and they are also very helpful at finding family/friends for the group shots. However depending on your requirements I will happily provide a 2nd photographer in your wedding package.

Are you insured?

Yes, I have full insurance and a public liability license.

What cameras do you use? What about backups?

At the moment I am use two Canon 5d MKVI's with a whole host of L-series prime and zoom lenses. And I always bring my laptop with me to back up images mid-way through the day, and again at the end of the day. And each photo is recorded simultaneously onto two memory cards!

Do you take a deposit or booking charge?

I always meet with clients free of any obligation to discuss your individual wedding photography requirements. After we have agreed a price, I take a deposit of £200 to secure your booking by bank transer or cheque.
